Air fryer Turkey Nuggets

Looking for a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional fried turkey nuggets? Look no further! In this recipe, we'll show you how to make flavorful Air Fryer Turkey Nuggets that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The best part? They require only a fraction of the oil you would use in deep frying, making them a guilt-free treat for the whole family. Pair these mouthwatering nuggets with two delectable dipping sauces - a tangy Honey Mustard Sauce and a savory Sweet and Sour Sauce - and you've got a winning meal that everyone will love.

Ingredients:

1 lb turkey breast filet (boneless, skinless)

Dredging Mixture:

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon onion powder

Egg Mixture:

1 egg
1/4 cup buttermilk (or substitute any milk)
Coating:
3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs (fine)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce:

1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup honey (clear)
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat the Chefman Air Fryer for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Chop the turkey breast into "nuggets" about half an inch thick and 1.5-2 inches long. You should get around 25-30 nuggets from one turkey breast filet.
In a large zip-top bag, combine flour, paprika, salt, garlic powder, pepper, and onion powder. Add the turkey nuggets to the bag, seal it, and toss until the nuggets are coated evenly.
In two medium yet shallow bowls, set up the dredging station. Whisk together the egg and buttermilk in one bowl. In the other bowl, combine bread crumbs, flour, salt, and pepper.
Take each turkey nugget from the bag, dip it into the egg mixture, and then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Place the coated nuggets on a large platter until they are all ready for cooking.
Spray 8-10 nuggets with non-stick cooking spray or oil spray, and place them on the rack in the Air Fryer.
Preheat the Air Fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and set the timer for 8 minutes. At the four-minute mark, flip the nuggets and coat the opposite side with nonstick spray before continuing to cook.
The Turkey Nuggets are done when their internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) as measured with a meat thermometer.

Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce:

In a mixing bowl, combine Dijon mustard, honey, mayonnaise, and apple cider vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and set aside.
